Fire-slowing ceiling above boiler/heater? Buying a house from 1924. POs installed an oil (early 2000's) and gas heater (1984). I know I will most likely have to replace the gas heater, but my main concern is adding some sort of fire-haulting ceiling above both of them. Since the concrete ceiling above the old boiler was coming down, we went ahead and took down the rest. Is there anything that needs to replace it? I've put up 1/4" drywall just cause I had it.
